We are a friendly family run business under new ownership providing value for money bed and breakfast accommodation with shops and amenities on the doorstep and close to a whole range of local attractions. We offer a selection of bar snacks and  serve traditional main meals of local produce every day. The New Inn is a  place for good company, good food and good beer ideally situated for those touring, walking, cycling or working in the area and especially for visitors attending or taking part in any of the classic Kendal annual events such as the very popular Kendal Mintfest: Kendal Torchlight Procession or Kendal Mountain Festival.

Built in the 17th century Old Barn Cottages are charming Lakeland 4 & 5 star self catering cottages set in beautiful open countryside at the head of the Cartmel valley 1 mile from Lake Windermere. Enjoying superb views over Lakeland Fells, they have been carefully restored whilst retaining many original features, to offer comfortably furnished and well equipped award winning family accommodation including Wifi internet and ipod docking station.
The cottages are centrally heated for all year round occupancy, offering spacious living areas together with off road parking. Bed linen and towels are included with each stay along with tea towels and oven gloves. We also provide a starter pack of toilet roll, kitchen roll, dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid. We are a Non-smoking establishment and unable to accommodate pets.

We offer a stylish slice of history and heritage in our bespoke shepherd Huts. Luxury camping at it's very best in the heart of the Lake District National Park. Guaranteed stunning views over the Langdale Pikes and Bowfell. The best fell walks in Cumbria, and an opportunity to really get away from the maddening crowds.
These Huts are beautifully equipped with everything you will need for a comfortable stay. They each have a double bed, single bunk bed with hyper allergic memory foam mattresses. The views from the stable door and windows are amazing and the wood burning stoves toasty warm. The Shepherd Huts are set away on their own from other campers and each have their own outside brazier.
The Great Langdale National Trust campsite have all the facilities you could need, from locally situated toilets and showers to drying rooms, washing machines, dryers and mobile phone charging. There are plenty of washing up sinks with hot running water for dirty dishes and a well organized recycling bay.
There is a shop at reception where groceries, toiletries and maps can be purchased along with wood for the stove. There are also plenty of useful leaflets with information on local activities, places to visit and walks.
